Sunday Post #2

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week and showcase books we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

For the last two weeks I’ve been on holiday. I haven’t had a proper break from work in ages so this holiday was long overdue.

 What I’ve been up to:

I’ve been reading A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. I think it will take me a while to finish it but I am really enjoying it so far.

I bought a Nintendo Switch last week (finally) so ever since it arrived I’ve been playing a lot of Mario Kart and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (which is an amazing and beautiful game).

Friday was my birthday. My mum made me a terrific unicorn shaped cake and it tasted so delicious, I wish I could have a piece every day forever. I got a lot of unicorn themed gifts to go with it, including a unicorn shaped money box, face mask and tape dispenser.

On Saturday I went all the way down South to London to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I don’t want to say too much about it right now because I’ll probably do a whole separate post on it but suffice to say I had an amazing experience. It is a truly magical play with beautiful cape action. The stagecraft involved is phenomenal.

Coming up on the blog:

Monday: My Hello Kitty Stationary Haul

Wednesday: My Three Favourite Things About Running

Books I’ve added to my TBR:

A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R. R. Martin

Both of these books were presents I received for my birthday.
